Nachum

The Lord Jesus desired this ministry to be named “Nachum” (pronounced Nah-ḥoom) to carry out His purposes in the earth. Naḥum is from the Hebrew word, “naḥam;” it is hard to translate this word into English, sometimes English Bibles use the word “comfort,” to translate this word, other times it is translated as, “repent.” A rabbi wrote on the Texas Jewish Post, “The word “nachem” is usually translated as comfort or consolation. In fact, these translations are inaccurate; the literal meaning is to take a new look at the same set of circumstances and arrive at a different conclusion. It is a paradigm shift.” New Testament English Bibles translate the Greek word metanoia as “repent.” Metanoia means to “change [one’s] mind,” a paradigm shift. The Septuagint uses “metamelomai” for the word “naḥam,” in Psalm 110, which means to “change [ones’s] cares.”

Nachum has been called to proclaim repentance; the changing of wordly cares for heavenly ones, for the Kingdom of God is near you.

“From that time Jesus began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near!” ~ Matthew 4:17

Mission

Mission: To fulfill the will of God for the Nachum organization, in the earth, by waiting on the Holy Spirit and obeying His Voice, and by obeying what has already been commanded in the Holy Bible, specifically as it pertains to both the “First Commission” (Matthew 10:1,5-40; Mark 6:7-13), and the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:16-20; Mark 16:15-18) under the instruction of the Lord’s teaching in Matthew 5, 6, & 7.

“Wherever the cloud happened to be, there was the spirit ready to go, the wheels went and were lifted up with them; because the spirit of life was in the wheels.” ~ Ezekiel 1:20 (LXX)

“Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites would set out, and wherever the cloud settled, there the Israelites would camp. At the LORD’s command the Israelites set out, and at the LORD’s command they camped. As long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle, they remained encamped. Even when the cloud lingered over the tabernacle for many days, the Israelites kept the LORD’s charge and did not set out. Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days, and they would camp at the LORD’s command and set out at the LORD’s command. Sometimes the cloud remained only from evening until morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they would set out. Whether it was by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up, they would set out. Whether the cloud lingered for two days, a month, or longer, the Israelites camped and did not set out as long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle; but when it was lifted, they would set out. They camped at the LORD’s command, and they set out at the LORD’s command; they carried out the LORD’s charge according to His command through Moses.” ~ Numbers 9:17-23

“The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” ~ John 3:8

“So Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” ~ John 5:19

Vision

Vision: The first visions given to Nachum were: to see the Body and Blood of Jesus exalted in homes throughout the state of Connecticut, to evangelize through “Key Cards,” and to support and partner with the Inspired Tree of Life ministry in Haiti. The Lord Jesus said the nations have been opened to Nachum, and so we look to take what the Lord has given us throughout the world.

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by His wounds.” ~ 1 Peter 2:24

“In the middle of its street and of the river, on this side and on that side, was a tree of life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit according to each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” ~ Revelation 22:2

“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone beholding the Son and believing in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.” ~ John 6:40

“Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Make a fiery serpent and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will live.’ So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. If anyone who was bitten looked at the bronze snake, he would live.” ~ Numbers 21:8-9

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone believing in Him may have eternal life.” ~ John 3:14-15

Statement of Faith

We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again;
He ascended into heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the entire Holy Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.
